Limited Warranty for Custom Hardwood Furniture

Coverage Period: This warranty covers manufacturing defects for a period of 3 months from the date of delivery.

What is Covered: This warranty covers manufacturing defects related to the craftsmanship of our custom hardwood furniture. It includes issues such as improper assembly and structural defects.

What is Not Covered: This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or exposure to extreme environmental conditions including, but not limited to, temperature swings, high humidity, or dry air. Additionally, damage resulting from exposure to direct sunlight or proximity to air registers without proper diffusers is not covered.

Environmental Considerations: Wood is a natural product that reacts to changes in humidity by expanding or contracting, which can cause checking in the grain or minor gaps. Seasonal gapping or minor checks in the grain are considered a normal occurrence and should not be assumed to be a defect. Care in controlling the furniture’s environment will help minimize these changes. Indoor humidity should be kept between 35-45%. Moisture is absorbed through the end grain of wood, causing more movement on the ends of boards than in the center, and so can sometimes lead to minor gaps. These changes can occur as humidity levels fluctuate with the changing seasons and are perfectly normal.

Care of Hardwood Furniture: Our furniture is finished with a conversion varnish or pre-catalyzed lacquer that is water- and stain-resistant and requires no waxing or polishing. You do, however, need to protect it from scratches and heat. To clean, simply wipe with a soft cloth, dry or damp, in the direction of the grain.

Direct sunlight and fluorescent fixtures that contain ultraviolet rays can cause chemical changes in the wood and finish and should be avoided. Furniture should also be kept away from direct sources of heating and cooling.

How to Obtain Service: In the event of a manufacturing defect, customers should contact us within the warranty period. Please provide a detailed explanation of the issue along with clear photographs. We will assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action, which may include repair, replacement, or refund.

Additional Services: Beyond the warranty period, we offer repair or replacement services for a fee. Customers can contact us for an estimate.

Limitation of Liability: Our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product at our discretion. We are not liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
